Handling
We’ll hand it to the Kia Telluride; its 3.8L V6 engine can generate an impressive 291 horsepower. The Atlas’ standard 2.0L Turbocharged engine, by comparison, has a bit less power, at 269 horsepower, but it makes up for that in with significantly more torque at 273 lb.-ft. This is actually good for handling, especially while driving on city streets, making the Atlas a better commuter vehicle. Plus, even with the slightly reduced horsepower, the Atlas can still match the Telluride’s overall towing capacity of 5,000 lbs.
Features
The Atlas comes standard with a large 12” touchscreen display, heated and ventilated front seats, 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and much more. Kia does offer comparable features, but not standard on the Telluride. If you want the same level of comfort, connectivity, and safety you’d get in the Atlas, you’ll need to invest in an upgraded trim level on the Telluride.
